There a few pieces of equipment that I simply do not enjoy baking without.  My Kitchenaid mixer is my reliable workhorse that gets things whipped and creamed just the way I like them. And a solid silicone spatula is my other must-have when I am baking cookies, cakes, or any desserts.  GIR Silicone Spatulas are just the right flexibility without feeling flimsy or unstable.  They are firm enough to adequately and efficiently scrape bowls when mixing batter or dough.  GIR Spatulas are also perfect for candy-making because they are heat resistant enough to resist temperatures over 460° F.

My least favorite part of baking and cooking is the clean up, which is another reason I love GIR Silicone Spatulas.  They are one solid piece of silicone-no grooves or spaces that make them difficult to clean.  I have had wooden-handled spatulas that lose the seal between the silicone spatula and wooden handle and then they get gunk in the hole where the handle fits and become impossible to clean well.  There is none of that difficulty with GIR Silicone Spatulas.

Another feature that is great about silicone cooking utensils is that you don’t have to worry about burning yourself if you have left your spatula in a hot pot and go to grab it without thinking.  GIR Silicone Spatulas’ handles stay cool to the touch so I don’t have to add anymore burns to my baking and cooking memories.

Lastly, I cannot pretend that it doesn’t excite me to grab my hot pink GIR spatula.  It’s the little things that make me the happiest and most excited to be in the kitchen and the rainbow of colors that these spatulas come in are like a ray of sunshine into your kitchen.

I agree, having it all be one piece makes SO much sense. So does pretty colors! 🙂

    Those are really cute!

I used to have a bunch of different sized spatulas. I miss having the option for a small one. Sometimes I’m trying to get into a small can and the bigger ones just frustrate me!

I ordered my GIR Spatula, and upon its arrival my husband cut the envelope open and cut my spatula. I was not happy. My husband contacted GIR and they were super responsive and helpful. Their customer service is great and I am so very impressed. I love my spatula and agree so much about the colors and the ease to clean. It is my dream spatula! I ordered the teal because it matches my colors and that does make me smile too! Thanks GIR for inventing this solution.
